"Exactly how fast does Santa move to be able to deliver gifts to children worldwide in just one day? "Santa and Rudolph, the iconic symbols of Christmas!
In this video, we're going to learn about how fast Rudolph's speed is and the weight of the sleigh as they deliver gifts to children worldwide in a single day.
First, let's talk about the weight of gifts. Although the numbers vary each year, let's assume Santa visits around 91.8 million houses annually. This would predict that the number of children receiving gifts is approximately 378 million.
So, even if we limit each gift to 1 kilogram, the total weight of the gifts amounts to 370,000 tons, equivalent to the weight of one skyscraper. It seems Santa would need around 2 billion Rudolphs to pull that weight.
Then, what about the time he needs for delivery?
If we assume Santa's working hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM, he has a total of 8 hours. However, when we take into account time zones and the Earth's rotation, he can have 32 hours to deliver.
So, Santa needs to visit 822.6 houses per second. Then the sleigh travels at a speed of 1050 km per second, which is 3000 times faster than the speed of sound. At this point, it's almost like Santa is shooting a laser beam when he delivers gifts.
But this explains why Santa doesn't deliver gifts to children who are awake at night, because if children are awake and moving around the living room, they might get hit by a gift and be seriously injured.
So, in conclusion, even if you want to see Santa and Rudolph so badly, it's important to get some rest to stay safe and sound on Christmas night!"
